Volvo S60: A Review

April 18, 2011 12:00 AM

No one ever expected the Volvo's version of a coupelike vehicle to be taken seriously when it debuted 10 years ago, but a decade later the S60 model is still one of the best cars on the market, reports MSN Autos.

With four doors and excellent handling, the car continues to prove time and time again that Volvo knows what it's doing. The newest edition has a sleek style that embraces the look of a sedan, but with the curves of a sports car.

The 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-5 engine is a great little power push for the usually somewhat-idle Volvo models. In addition, the car has excellent stability and traction-control thanks to a new program that comes with a sport mode feature. It's reportedly the first of its kind for a sedan, according to Volvo.

With great fuel economy (18 city/26 highway), more interior space and a base price just under $31K, the S60 is put simply, a great car.

"These days, Volvo's lineup stands out not just for safety features but also for distinctive good looks and appealing performance. The all-new 2011 S60 is a perfect example of that," concludes MSN.
