Volkswagen may have another hit with new "Star Wars" ad

Last year, Volkswagen had a memorable Super Bowl commercial where a young child in a Darth Vader outfit roamed around his house trying to use the Force on everyday objects. For this year's big game, it appears the German automaker is going back to the Star Wars well once again.

The manufacturer released the teaser for its Super Bowl ad on YouTube, and it seems that it will focus around puppies barking along to the tune of the "Imperial March" theme from the legendary films. If last year's combination of cuteness and Star Wars was any indication, it seems like Volkswagen has another hit on its hands.

The Vader ad last year ended up being the most-shared commercial of 2011, according to Mashable. The teaser for this year's ad, which will air in full during the Super Bowl, has already reached 500,000 views on YouTube in just one day.

Even Han Solo had to perform maintenance on the Millennium Falcon from time to time. Drivers should make sure that their own "ships" are in tip-top shape by investing in auto maintenance, such as engine tune-ups and oil changes.
