John Travolta's 1970 Mercedes 280 SL convertible was stolen nearly a month ago, and Los Angeles police have managed to track down the car - well, parts of it anyway.

"They chopped up the car," Los Angeles Police Detective George Molina told Fox News. "We have interior and some exterior body parts."

Molina added that the two primary suspects in the case, who have been arrested and are awaiting trial, are known to be specialists in stealing classic cars and chopping them up for parts. One of the suspects was actually on probation for prior auto theft charges.

The "Saturday Night Fever" star is known to be an avid aviator, but he has an extensive collection of classic cars as well. The actor was often spotted in the Mercedes, which was known to be one of his personal favorites, but he also has a Rolls Royce, a Jaguar XJ6 and a number of vintage Thunderbirds.

The inside parts are truly the most important part of a vehicle, but many drivers are more concerned with making sure the exterior looks nice than keeping up with their auto maintenance. Regular oil changes, tune-ups and brake service can keep your car in top condition and increase it's value over time.
