The Chevy Corvette Z06 is lightning-fast

Professional race car drivers will be lining up to buy the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06, if what MotorTrend says holds up to be true.

"To say that the Corvette Z06 is fast is to say that Led Zeppelin plays music. You don't have to be a fan of either to appreciate what an enormous understatement that is," says the auto website.

For buyers who are unaware, Chevrolet makes Corvette buyers attend driving school when they get their car. It's to make sure they can handle the speed and agility of such a monster. With a 7.0-liter V-8 engine, 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, this vehicle is just simply astounding. It comes with a six-speed manual, but will anyone really be driving this bad boy in second gear? We didn't think so.

What's under the hood can't be compared to anything else on the road today, but the interior is "famously subpar," gripes MotorTrend. The seats aren't very comfortable, there's pleather on the dashboard, the navigational system is atrocious and the steering wheel looks like it came from a Cobalt.

In the grand scheme of things, the interior doesn't matter. When you own a car that goes a quarter-mile in 11.8 seconds at 123.4 mph, you're not thinking about the seats.
