Twilight star Taylor Lautner is frequently chased by fangirls wherever he goes - but at least now he'll be able to stage a quick getaway if he's bombarded by teenaged (and possibly a few adult) admirers. The Daily Mail reports that the Hollywood actor recently purchased a brand-new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG at a Los Angeles dealership.
The 19-year-old actor took his parents along with him to help negotiate the purchase. When all was said and done, Lautner was driving off in the sleek $200,000 sports car.
Mercedes' SLS AMG is one of the more head-turning cars to come out in recent memory. The key feature is undoubtedly the eye-catching gullwing doors, which is a callback to the old Mercedes 300SL - a car that was made before Lautner was born. Oh, it also gets to 60 miles per hour in under 4 seconds.
The SLS AMG is a sick car - especially for a first vehicle. However, Lautner likely does not have the experience with cars that his parents do. Good drivers keep their car in shape with regular vehicle inspections and diagnostics to quickly catch problems.
