Recognize National Car Care Month by getting an oil change

Now that National Car Care Month is in full swing, it's a great time to get a car tune up and make sure everything is running smoothly with an automobile. A standard tune up may look at a number of different aspects of a vehicle, but one that should be at the top of every list is an automotive oil change

According to AOL Autos, all drivers should check the oil after 3,000 miles on the road. Giving a car constant attention - and replenishing oil when it may be low - can help a vehicle have a longer life and lower-costing maintenance throughout that life span.

"Whether you visit a professional service technician or do it yourself, a thorough vehicle inspection this spring can keep your car safe and dependable and help you avoid much higher costs down the road in the form of more extensive repairs or lost resale value," said Rich White, executive director of the Car Care Council

While there are a number of ways owners can enhance the performance of their vehicle, getting an oil change is one of the easiest and most necessary ways to do so.
