Police find Guy Fieri's stolen Lamborghini

Food Network personality and celebrity chef Guy Fieri has been reunited with his prized Lamborghini after it was stolen during a daring heist more than a year ago.

Fieri's 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder was inside a San Francisco dealership undergoing some scheduled maintenance in 2011 when an opportunistic thief pulled off a Hollywood-inspired heist. After gaining access to the roof of the dealership, the crook rappelled down the side and crashed through a window in order to reach the car. The thief then drove off with Fieri's Lamborghini, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

Police turned up no leads for the past year, but eventually caught on to the suspect after a second, unrelated crime. A suspect in a shooting was tracked back to a storage locker in Richmond, California, where Fieri's stolen Lamborghini was found safe and sound - along with a number of other items believed to have been stolen.

"I would like to thank the Marin County Sheriff's Office and the Mill Valley Police Department for their hard work and effort in the recovery of my car," Fieri said in a statement. "I'm glad we can put this behind us, and feel better knowing that justice is being served."
