Paparazzo killed while trying to photograph Justin Bieber's car

Justin Bieber's white Ferrari was seen driving down a highway in Los Angeles when it was pulled over at a routine traffic stop, igniting a firestorm of tragic events and controversy.

A member of the paparazzi, identified as 29-year-old Chris Guerra, was attempting to cross through four lanes of traffic after snapping photos of the star's car when he was struck by another vehicle driving on the freeway, according to The Daily Mail. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

The 18-year-old teen star, who was not in the vehicle at the time, has made a name for himself throughout the auto industry thanks to his flashy rides and occasionally outrageous car repair or upgrades. He has also been involved in several encounters with paparazzi members who attempt to chase down his cars when they're spotted on the streets, including an incident this past summer when a photographer was charged with reckless driving after getting into a high-speed chase with the pop star, E Online reports.

"Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders and the photographers themselves," Bieber said, as quoted by ABC News
