Nick Cage's new film that features cars looks... promising?

As if the world didn't have enough to hate Nicholas Cage for, his new film "Drive Angry 3D" will unleash its fury upon the megaplexes this weekend.

The action flick throws back to the days of "Gone in 60 Seconds" and "Face/Off," but this storyline revolves around "a vengeful father [who] escapes from hell and chases after the men who killed his daughter and kidnapped his granddaughter," according to IMDB.com.

Whoa, whoa whoa. Wait, hold up. Sorry, but does that description say "escape from hell?" Apparently, people can now return from hell in an action flick that isn't even classified as fantasy.

According to the trailer, the film promises lots of exploding cars, high-speed chases and vehicles being unnecessarily damaged. What a waste. At least the cars look really cool! There's some sporty old-school racing cars... the kind often used in action films.

Cars used during production include a '69 Charger and a '71 Chevelle, both of which are super sexy vehicles commonly found in action films. Other vehicles are sure to make an appearance but reviews haven't been released yet, so you'll have to see the movie to find out.
