The 2014 Mazda3 was named the "Best Compact Car" for its model year by Yahoo! Autos. After it was completely redesigned from 2013, the updated Mazda3 features a number of new amenities and extras that should make it one of the most sought-after vehicles of the year.

"Our best-selling vehicle worldwide continues to win over the critics, impressing not only with its expected dynamics and performance but also with its top-notch fuel economy, all-new technologies and excellent value," said Jim O'Sullivan, president and CEO of Mazda North American Operations. "The Mazda3 has always been competitive within its segment and will continue to bring its best to the table with the all-new 2014 model."

Yahoo! Autos tested a range of compact cars based on interior design, styling, power and handling, fuel efficiency and value. The Mazda3 excelled in all of these categories, and with a relatively low asking price and easy vehicle maintenance, it projects to be a value-driven option for drivers.

One of the standout qualities of this vehicle is its excellent technology. The i-ACTIVSENSE acts as a pre-crash detection system, while cruise control and brake support are also available to create a smooth driving experience.
