The term diagnostic is used to cover a variety of procedures from determining the cause of warning lights to checking cooling systems for leaks or overheating issues and almost everything in between. It is the term most shops use to charge for the time it takes to verify a specific problem and therefore is never all inclusive. We routinely are able to accurately diagnosis a problem in 30 minutes or less so we have set the price to an industry low $75. Some problems are more complex and require more time, we do have to charge more in those situations but will always present the option before continuing.
