Kanye West investing in high-security cars

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian draw a lot of attention, both positive and negative, for their actions in the public eye. Gossip surrounding the couple hit fever pitch in July with the birth of their daughter, North, and now West is taking steps to protect his new family from the public, even when they are driving.

According to The Daily Star, West is splurging on $2 million worth of vehicles that are equipped with top-notch safety features, including a bulletproof exterior and anti-kidnapping tools. One of the rides will be his own - a $480,000 Chevrolet Kodiak modeled after the president's Limo One.

The second car is a $1.5 million armored SUV called the Prombron Iron Diamond, designed specifically for Kardashian. Created by the Dartz Motor Company, this automobile is produced up to military standards. While the vehicle maintenance costs may be sky-high, no cost is too great for the rapper to undertake if it means protecting his family.

"Kanye is fully aware that his new family is so high-profile they attract the attention of weirdos and psychopaths," a source told the publication. "He aims to leave nothing to chance. His priority is to get delivery of the vehicles, especially Kim's, before he begins his U.S. tour in October."
