Justin Timberlake wins Indy 500... sorta

June 1, 2011 12:00 AM

It seems like Justin Timberlake is everywhere these days, whether it's popping up in hit films like "The Social Network" or dropping by Saturday Night Live for a hilarious guest host appearance. The former Mickey Mouse Club member has parlayed his music career into a takeover of Hollywood. Now, Timberlake can add "Indy 500 winner" to his resume.

Well, not exactly. He wasn't technically behind the wheel of the car when it took home first place in the famous race this past weekend. That honor belonged to Dan Wheldon. However, Wheldon was sponsored by William Rast - the clothing line that Timberlake founded.

The multi-talented actor and musician took to Twitter to congratulate the team on their performance.

"What a Memorial Day weekend," the star tweeted. "The William Rast car just won the Indy 500! Congrats to Dan Wheldon, the WR racing team and everyone else who put in the hard work for this victory! Unreal!"

Timberlake has shown in the past that he has a penchant for all things automotive. Celebrity Cars Blog has caught him rolling around Hollywood in a Bentley Continental GT, Audi S8 and Audi Q7 crossover.
