Is singing in the car safe?

Now that the sun is finally starting to shine, the wide open road is waiting for you. With a little after-winter vehicle maintenance and a good playlist, you'll be singing in the car in no time.

According to a recent study by DMEautomotive, this is one of the top reasons drivers get into car accidents. Talking on the phone, reading and sending text messages and eating also made the list as some of the most dangerous distractions that can result in costly mistakes.

Although singing in the car might feel natural when the windows are down and your favorite tune is blasting through the speakers, in terms of safety, this laid-back habit might be deadlier than you think. Other seemingly natural multitasking activities featured on the survey include taking photos, changing clothes, shaving, brushing your teeth and doing work on a laptop. While some of the topics on this list might seem ridiculous, the CDC reported that the danger of multitasking while driving isn't a laughing matter - unless you're keeping your eyes on the road, you could be in for more car repairs.
