Hertz to begin renting Porsches

When most people think of a rent-a-car, they picture a beaten-down sedan that has probably seen better days. Those who use Hertz, however, may soon find themselves riding in style, as the company is about to introduce Porsches to its line-up of available cars.

The national rental car company will soon allow customers to ride around in a Porsche Panamera for a few days. The four-door sports car normally retails for approximately $75,000. Hertz customers will be able to rent the car for about $250 per day.

"Hertz revolutionized the industry when we introduced make and model reservable cars through our Prestige Collection and we're now excited to be the first major rental car company in the U.S. to rent Porsche sports cars," said Mark Frissora, Hertz Chairman and CEO. "With the introduction of Porsche vehicles to the U.S. car rental industry, we're once again setting the bar in offering top-performing luxury cars."

While rental cars can be great for businessmen in a new city, most people need to own an everyday vehicle to get from A to B. Keeping up with scheduled maintenance can ensure your car stays in top condition.
