There's no doubt the Ford Mustang is a highly-desired vehicle, which might explain why Ford's online Mustang Customizer so popular. The application, available on Ford's website or on iPhones and Android devices, allows users to custom-design their very own Mustang.

The company recently revamped the program with a number of new features. Users will now be able to "battle" against their friends' designs, putting cars against each other and having other users vote on which one they like the best. The cars can also be shared on Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites. More than 1 million users have already designed their dream car using the application.

In order to entice people to give the app a spin, Ford announced a special promotion. Through the end of the year, those who design a Mustang V6, GT, Boss 302 or Shelby GT500 using the app will be entered to win a real-life version of their tricked-out ride. Ford will be building one Mustang of each type for four lucky winners.

Whether you've got your very own dream car in your garage or a beater that's seen better days, keeping up with vehicle maintenance is important to ensuring it's in top condition.
