Famous rapper and producer team up with Chrysler to make sound system

Just a few weeks after Mercedes-Benz debuted a new song to market their company, Chrysler has announced it will partner up with rapper Dr. Dre and producer Jimmy Iovine to bring a new sound to its 2012 Chrysler 300S.

The partnership won't result in song, however, but a 10-speaker stereo system that is supposed to be out-of-this-world.

"Beats By Dr. Dre has always been about restoring the emotional music connection between an artist and the listener, and [this] will let drivers hear music the way the artists intended, replicating the feel and the sound that artists and producers work so hard to achieve," stated Iovine, who is the chairman of Interscope Geffen-A&M Records.

The 10-speaker sound system is poised to bring a professional sound to the car that is nearly impossible to do. Chrysler announced the new technology at a press conference during the 2011 New York Auto Show.

Oliver Francois, the president and CEO of the Chrysler brand, praised Dr. Dre and Iovine for their achievements that came out of the partnership, which affect the world of automobiles and pop culture.

The Chrysler 300S is meant to appeal to a younger generation of buyers who are more likely to focus on style and design than price.
