DiCaprio invests in Fisker

The Fisker Karma electric sports car has been a high-profile vehicle since its launch. The green car has received the celebrity stamp of approval, with famous faces such as Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber seen driving it.

One celeb who has been behind the car from the get-go is Leonardo DiCaprio. DiCaprio has always been outspoken about his support of eco-friendly vehicles - the Titanic star was one of the very first to trade in his low-MPG sports car for a Toyota Prius when the hybrid first hit the market. Unsurprisingly, DiCaprio was one of the earliest Karma owners, but now he's getting involved in a more substantial way.

According to USA Today, DiCaprio has invested a significant amount of money in Fisker, though the exact amount was not disclosed. The actor will also be working with the company to promote the vehicle. Thus far, Fisker has delivered more than 1,000 units of the $103,000 electric vehicle.

"My foundation supports efforts to secure a sustainable future for our planet and all its inhabitants," DiCaprio said in a statement. "I am delighted to be working with Fisker Automotive to promote this shared vision."

Whether you have a new Fisker Karma in the garage or something a bit less rare, regular vehicle maintenance is critical to keeping it in top condition.
