Coolest cars that won't break the bank

Driving a cool car doesn't have to mean spending your life savings on a new ride. There are plenty of reasonably-priced vehicles that can keep drivers happy on the road and in their wallets.

In order to find the balance between style and substance, Kelley Blue Book conducted some research to name the best car buys for under $25,000. Their findings mix traditionally cool vehicles like the Ford Mustang with lesser-known choices like the Scion FR-S. Each of the additions to the list represents some kind of element of "cool," ranging from those perfect for off-road adventures to sports cars.

The 2013 Scion FR-S topped the list, mainly because it combines a sleek exterior and powerful engine with practicality. It narrowly edged out the second-place 2013 Ford Focus ST, a European-inspired ride that offers a fine-tuned suspension and tires to handle the acceleration of the vehicle.

Drivers who favor more unique cars can look to the third selection, the Mini Cooper Coupe, or the fourth-place Jeep Wrangler. Whether owners want to feel the wind in their hair as they cruise down the highway or need a rugged automobile capable of handling rough terrain without an overload of car repair, these models are great for providing the perfect driving machine.
