Drivers are always trying to get the most value for their dollar, and that certainly extends to hybrid vehicles. Cars.com has selected the best hybrids for the money, recognizing a few models for the value and fuel efficiency they feature. By comparing the expected mileage to the sticker price, the website was able to pick the models that provided the best fuel economy and auto repair for the lowest amount of money in a variety of size categories.

"Gas prices remain volatile, so as shoppers consider more fuel-efficient options, they should know how effectively hybrids deliver gas mileage for their dollar - if they do at all," said Joe Wiesenfelder, the executive editor of Cars.com. "Simply because a hybrid gets great gas mileage doesn't necessarily mean you save money in the long run, because that same hybrid often comes with a higher price tag."

One of the selections for best midsize sedan was the 2013 Ford Fusion hybrid. Many drivers believe this a worthy model as well, as the manufacturer posted record quarterly sales in the first three months of 2013. In Auto News reports that the automaker sold 21,080 hybrid vehicles in that time period, marking the first time it surpassed 20,000.
