Improve auto repair with better communication

Car repair can be a nightmare for drivers who aren't sure what to expect. However, all customers can improve their experience regardless of their automobile IQ just by following a few simple tips. AAA released a list of a few easy ways drivers who may not know much about their vehicle or those who had a negative past experience can make sure their tune up goes smoothly.

One tip is to write down symptoms and performance issues beforehand so you don't forget to mention issues and nothing is overlooked. Describe these problems upon arriving at the auto repair franchise rather than suggesting solutions at the outset. Not only will this be make sure that each issue is addressed, but it will help the technician understand what is going on with the car.

When detailing problems, make sure to be as specific as possible and use proper terminology. Refer to the "driver's side" or "passenger side" instead of left or right, and take note of when issues come up in order to provide technicians with the full back story.

In addition to helping technicians fix problems with the car, there are ways drivers can help themselves understand the process. Read the bill thoroughly, ask for vague language to be clarified and don't be afraid to ask for further explanation.
