'Auto Show Week' returns to the silver screen

Most people who tune into "Live with Kelly and Michael" do so for a look at what's going on in the world of entertainment. But fans of the show will get some insight into the auto industry next week, when the New York International Auto Show rolls into town and pays a special visit to the television program.

From March 30 to April 3, some of the most anticipated models debuting at the auto show will make special appearances on "Live with Kelly and Michael." It all starts Monday, March 30, when convertibles take center stage. All eyes will be on the Mazda MX-5 as it makes its world debut. The audience will also get to enjoy the television premieres of models like the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, Buick Cascada and Audi TT Roadster as these convertibles get drivers ready for spring.

These topless cars will only take over the first day of the week. The rest of the episodes of "Auto Show Week" will feature luxury vehicles, concept cars, SUVs and Crossovers, and sedans. Models of note include the new Lexus RX, Hyundai Santa Cruz, Nissan Maxima and Infiniti QX50. There's no telling what other surprises may be in store as the week progresses.

"Auto Show Week" was a hit last year, so it was only natural for producers to run it back again. While the five-day event may not reveal secrets to saving money on new car insurance or vehicle maintenance, it does give many people an opportunity to see models that would otherwise be limited to auto show attendees. Of course, many can also get ready to view these automobiles on the roads, with many models slated to hit the market later this year.
