Audi talks up new Super Bowl commercial

Automakers like to make a splash during the Super Bowl with their commercials, and the "best of lists" posted the day after usually include a few manufacturers. Audi didn't have a particularly memorable ad last year, but the luxury marquee is looking to change that for 2012's big game.

The German automaker recently revealed that its new 60-second ad will air in the first quarter and revolve around the company's new LED headlights, which give its vehicles a distinctive look. Last year's commercial featured Kenny G and the year before that had Jason Statham, so a celebrity cameo isn't out of the question.

"With LED, there's no mistaking an Audi. Since pioneering the technology nearly ten years ago, LED lights have established the Audi persona and become one of the most recognizable features on the road," said Scott Keogh, chief marketing officer for Audi. "Like our LEDs, this year's Super Bowl spot will be unmistakably Audi."

Whether you have a brand new Audi or a 10-year old Suzuki, auto maintenance is important for those who want to keep their car on the road longer. Regular oil changes and tune-ups can help ensure a vehicle stays in top condition.
