A round-up from the 2011 New York Auto Show

Now that the 2011 New York Auto Show has ended, MSN Autos has decided to share its expert opinion (as it so often does) on some of the coolest displays from the hot-ticket event.

The 2013 Ford Taurus SHO proved to be a big hit, despite some questioning as to why a new model was needed after only debuting in 2009. Apparently, however, it needed a better steering system and bigger brakes. In addition, a performance package with bigger wheels, heavy-duty cooling system and revised suspension was also displayed.

Crafted as a tribute to the Jeep Wrangler, the Mojave is a "worthy" off-road vehicle, states MSN Autos. "It's named after the torturous Mojave Trail that spans 138 miles from Laughlin, Nev., to Barstow, Calif," says the experts. "Something about the Sahara Tan exterior and desert-themed interior just clicks with the Wrangler's rugged lines."

The 2012 Kia Rio and Hyundai Accent are the hot newcomers to the subcompact class. MSN says drivers definitely won't mind being spotted in these models as the styling is modern and sexy.

Perhaps the biggest news, however, was Mercedes-Benz Concept A-Class model. Said to have a lot of character and a hatchback (wow, Benz and a hatchback!? Who'd have thunk it?), this car is still at least three years away from production.
