A not-so-new but much-improved Mercedes-Benz C-class

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class isn't technically a new model, but MotorTrend says you shouldn't feel ashamed if you didn't realize it. Based on the updated exterior alone, one might not recognize that the C-class has been around for a while.

In fact, more than 2000 new parts were added to the vehicle, according to the news source. This is reportedly a very good thing as the previous C-class always made drivers feel as if they were getting ripped off. It didn't feel like a luxury car, but owners paid for one unless they leased it, states MotorTrend.

Now, however, "the C-Class now feels complete, with a better interior, better efficiency, and more solid structure," states the news source. "With improved styling, handling, and power, the C has gone from something you would like to lease to something you would love to own."

With a seven-speed transmission that handles well in quick situations, nothing is wrong here. Also strong is the 3.5-liter V-6 engine with 302 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque.

The car's interior was updated with a better steering wheel, lots of high-tech gadgets and a smarter layout.
