A moving playlist for those long road trips

When you feel like having a party as you drive, music is a necessity. But there's only so much time you have to listen (unless you're spending days on the road), so what to choose?

Here is our Ultimate Road Trip Playlist, which is best enjoyed during the spring and summer seasons.

Kick things off right with a little Bob Dylan and play "Like a Rolling Stone." Then get into the long-haul spirit with "I Would Walk 500 Miles" by the Proclaimers. "Life is A Highway" by Tom Petty is also a great choice for these journeys (especially if you're on the highway...)

Speed things up and get country funky with "Devil Went Down to Georgia" by the Charlie Daniels Band. Then keep high energy levels with Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody."

Transition into a groove with "Proud Mary" by Ike and Tina Turner (if you can find the version by Beyoncé and Tina, use that instead. Female power is better on this song). Add in Janis Joplin's "Me and Bobby McGee."

These lists can go on and on. The important thing is variety... but also a main theme. All of these things are about moving. Whether it is about moving forward physically or emotionally, that's the connecting thread.

Finish the trip up on "Riding with the King" by B.B. King and Eric Clapton.
