How to Get Started with PTAC
You are just a few steps away from joining a successful franchise that will position you to benefit from a growing $185 billion automotive aftermarket. Let’s get started.
Step 1: Complete the Information Request Form The first step to owning your own Precision Tune Auto Care franchise is to complete the Media Kit Request Form to receive additional information. This will help us better understand your background and your plans for owning a PTAC center. A member of our Franchise Development team will reply to your request promptly and follow up with a phone call.
Step 2: Initial Phone Call During our initial call, we will discuss Precision Tune Auto Care franchise opportunities, your plans, and answer any questions you may have at that time.
Step 3: Return your Confidential Qualification Report (CQR) The CQR will provide us with your personal and financial background. Returning the CQR to us tells us that you are serious about the opportunity and gives us an idea of your financial and managerial plans. Upon receipt of the CQR, we will review the information provided and contact you to discuss our findings.

Step 4: Franchise Disclosure and Due Diligence Upon receipt of your CQR, we will send you our Franchise Disclosure Document “FDD” (formerly referred to as the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular or “UFOC”). This disclosure document summarizes certain provisions of your franchise agreement and other important information. A sample of the franchise agreement that you will sign is included in the FDD for your review. Read this disclosure document and all the accompanying agreements carefully. You must receive this disclosure document at least 14 calendar days (10 business days in certain states) before you sign a binding agreement with, or make any payment to, Precision Tune Auto Care in connection with the proposed franchise sale. Therefore, we will need the signature receipt page at the back of the FDD as a record that we properly gave you this document.
This is the time you should be conducting your due diligence on the Precision Tune Auto Care concept. A member of our Franchise Development Team will contact you to schedule a time to go over any questions you may have regarding the FDD or the PTAC concept.
Step 5: Discovery Day Come discover all that Precision Tune Auto Care has to offer by attending a Discovery Day at our corporate office in Leesburg, VA (or other designated area). Discovery Day is filled with information presented by PTAC department team leaders on Industry Background, Marketing & Advertising Programs, Training Programs and Operations.
Discovery Day gives you the opportunity to ask questions, take a closer look at the franchise opportunities with Precision Tune Auto Care and allows us to introduce and present our concept to you. You will also have an opportunity to meet some of the PTAC corporate family and visit a center.
Step 6: Signing the Franchise Agreement & Paying the Franchise Fee If we mutually agree that owning a Precision Tune Auto Care center is right for both parties, we will send you a Franchise Agreement. Signing the Franchise Agreement does not require a trip to our corporate office.
The FTC and certain state laws also require that you hold the franchise agreement for seven business days before you can sign the agreement and pay the franchise fee. Once the signed franchise agreement and fees have been received by us, we will countersign the agreement and send you photocopies of the executed documentation affecting the franchise. Congratulations, you are then an official Precision Tune Auto Care franchisee!
