Robert Pattinson, the Hollywood heartthrob known for his role as the sparkling vampire Edward Cullen in the film adaptations of the Twilight novels by Stephenie Meyer, could buy anything he wants with his earnings. He could certainly afford any number of new or rare vehicles he set his eyes on. Yet, he doesn't. Pattinson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and during the interview revealed that he buys his cars used through Craigslist.
"I have a couple of cars. I'm selling them. I got a 2001 Silverado. It's beautiful. I only crashed it a few times... I got it, I guess, like three months ago, off Craigslist," Pattinson said on the show.
He purchased the Silverado from a guy living with his parents in Chino Hills, CA for $2,500, according to USA Today. He wanted a truck that could get beat up to haul his bikes around in.
"I got it, as you can see, I do a lot of extreme sports. I travel around with these bicycles," Pattinson said.
Any used vehicle one considers purchasing should go in for a tune up and be sure it doesn't need major work like a brake repair.
