Toyota has been in business for 77 years, and over that time it's produced quite a lot of vehicles. Just how many, exactly? The Japanese automaker recently revealed that sometime in June, the 200 millionth Toyota rolled off the assembly line, reports Autoblog."I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation to our customers the world over who made it possible for us to reach this milestone," Toyota president Akio Toyoda said in a press release. "I also have the most profound respect and gratitude for the efforts of all persons who were involved in developing, manufacturing, and marketing Toyota and Lexus vehicles over the years. We are determined to make our cars even better, to continue to give our customers the best possible product."While Toyota is one of the best-selling automakers in the world today, it's not the top dog when it comes to vehicles produced. For comparison's sake, General Motors had its 75th anniversary in 1983, and had produced 235 million cars at that point. Although Toyota has been in business for some time, it's really only become a worldwide force in the past four decades.A feat like 200 million cars is certainly a milestone, but many of them are probably in the junk heap at this point. Those who keep up with their auto maintenance can ensure their car lasts longer.
