The Nürburgring racetrack in Germany is one of the most famous courses in the entire world. In celebration of the crazy events that have occurred over the years, MSN Auto has come up with a list of the fastest moments ever recorded there.Constructed in 1927, the track is described as a "roller-coaster ride through the wooded hills of the Eifel plateau," by MSN Auto. The course is actually two tracks, the Northern and Southern Loop, the northern one being the most-challenging and 14.2 miles long. The southern loop is 4.8 miles long.In June 2010, a Pagani Zonda R demolished the record of 6:47.50 (minutes: seconds. milliseconds) by 11 ticks. The fast car was considered so speedy that it was hard not blink and miss it... it's also illegal to drive this car anywhere except on a certified race track.A legal road vehicle, the Radical SR8 LM , came in only a half a second behind the Zonda R this year. While the Zonda is illegal, the Radical SR8 can actually be driven on some European streets. The fastest sedan is the Subaru Impreza WRX STI which drove the course in 7:55 minutes and proved "that posting great times isn't all about gobs of horsepower," according to MSN Auto.
