Paranoid drivers of the world, rejoice! The grenade-proof Audi A8 L is here. The sedan is apparently perfect for those who fear drive-by shootings or rocket-launch attacks.

According to MotorTrend, it takes 450 additional hours to add the security components, which includes armored steel, aramide fabrics, ceramic plates, layered glass and special alloyed aluminum. Changes are made to the car's handling so the added weight doesn't make it a difficult drive.

"The armored sedan is reportedly able to withstand heavy fire from NATO hard-core ammunition as well as an attack from a hand grenade, among other weapons," states MotorTrend. Special wheel rims allow the car to still make a getaway at speeds up to 50 miles per hour even after the tires have "been compromised."

When the wheels aren't damaged, the car can still reach 130 mph, an impressive feat for a vehicle that weighs over three tons. The power comes from a 6.3-liter W-12 engine with 500 horsepower and 461 lb-ft of torque.

The model will be available in the summer, meaning heads of state and celebrities will have to live in fear a little bit longer.
