The Lexus LS 600h isn't a speed-demon or a luxury flagship model, but that's why it's so good, reports MotorTrend.Without the "fast-paced excitement," the car seems to find strength in its relaxed state, which blocks out the stress of the world. It is reportedly one of the quietest cars ever made.Under the hood is a 5.0-liter V-8 engine that gets 381 horsepower and 385 ft-lb of torque, which isn't spectacular for a six-figure vehicle ($112,225 is the base price), but it gets by without needing the power.Fuel economy is great compared to other luxury vehicles, with a 20mpg combined rating and certified as Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle II by the Environmental Protection Agency. The interior is nice, especially since the controls aren't convoluted - hands will find the button easily without having to look down. One change that the auto experts suggest is a redesign of the front grille."L is an astoundingly quiet and smooth-riding sedan, though there's still room for improvement," states Motor Trend. "This status-mobile may have the same basic engine technology you can find inside a $30,000 Toyota, but few cars are as relaxing to drive as the LS 600h L."
