Jeep has announced the Wagoneer's return for 2013, reports Motor Trend. Retro car lovers around the world, rejoice!

The famous station wagon-SUV combo hasn't been around for almost 20 years, but the car will come back soon as a seven-seat vehicle.

First released in 1964, the Wagoneer became a staple on America's highways and byways until 1984 when the Grand Wagoneer took over. While they weren't the most attractive on the outside (but that's what makes them so cool now), the inside was luxurious and wonderful.

The announcement was made at the Detroit auto show on Monday by Fiat/Chrysler chief executive officer Sergio Marchionne. "It's time we gave the market an upper-scale Grand Wagoneer. You’ll see it in January 2013."

Details about the specifics of the car were a little vague, but reports suggested the Wagoneer will be similar to the 2011 Dodge Durango by offering a third-row seat. In addition, some characteristics of the Grand Cherokee might make its way into the return of the classic Jeep model.

In honor of Jeep's 70th birthday, Chrysler introduced an anniversary edition for each model made by the classic brand.
