The Range Rover Evoque has received near unanimous praise from critical sources and picked up a bevy awards last December, including the prestigious 2012 North American Truck of the Year. The car is clearly a hit with consumers as well, as Automotive News recently reported that Land Rover is having difficulty keeping the model in stock.Demand for the Evoque in the U.S. has so outstripped expectations that many dealers report having none to sell, despite significant interest in the car. In the wake of the news, Land Rover has announced it will be upping production at its factory in England in order to meet the worldwide demand for the model."It has been tough on the [dealer] network," Andy Goss CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America. As an example of the high desire for the Evoque, one need only look at the sales figures. Last year, before it won any awards, the car sold slightly more than 2,200 units the entire year. Through just the first six months of 2012, the vehicle has sold more than 4,300 units, and that's with the low dealer supply.Drivers looking to trade in for an Evoque should make sure their current car is in working order. Keeping up with vehicle maintenance can help increase the value of a trade-in.
