The internet is buzzing over a sneak preview clip for a Super Bowl ad that features Matthew Broderick reprising his famous role as Ferris Bueller. The short teaser shows Broderick opening his curtains much like in the film, reciting a similar line to one in the movie, and the iconic musical cue playing. Many speculate that the ad is to promote an under-wraps sequel to the 1980s classic, but Jalopnik reports that the commercial is actually for Honda, citing a source within the company. The Japanese automaker reportedly sunk a ton of money into the ad, hiring Broderick to star in it and "The Hangover" director Todd Phillips to shoot it.The content of the ad is still unknown, but Jalopnik says that it will recreate several of the more famous scenes in the film, only with Hondas. The automotive blog says that the scene where two valets steal the Ferrari and jump it will instead be done in a Honda CR-V. It wouldn't be surprising to see a high-priced Honda or Acura go through a glass window as well.Much like Cameron's father babied his Ferrari in the film, drivers should pay close attention to their own auto maintenance. Oil changes and tune-ups can keep your car in tip-top shape, so you'll know it's always available when you need a day off of your own.
