Jay Leno hits the road in a classic car

Drivers in Beverly Hills got an interesting sight this weekend, as Jay Leno took advantage of the sunny weather to hit the road in a 1932 Duesenberg convertible.

Leno, who stands just a shade under six feet, had trouble seeing over the large steering wheel of the black Model J coupe. Celebrity Cars reports that Leno has recently been spotted driving a Fiat 500 Abarth around his California neighborhood, but it appears that the good weather was tempting enough to bring a flashier vehicle out of his famed garage.

According to the Daily Mail, the Model J cost Leno approximately $800,000 and has been meticulously restored to prime driving condition. It is just one of the more than 100 vehicles that the talk show host has accumulated over the years, which includes an antique roadster that was once owned by mogul Howard Hughes. It has been reported that Leno himself owns four Model J Duesenbergs.

Similar Duesenberg cars have sold for over $1 million. With extensive auto repair done to restore these classic vehicles to mint condition, some models have even demanded auction prices of up to $1.6 million.
