The Infiniti brand may not have the sales record of luxury brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz or Lexus, but it does have one bragging right. Guinness World Records has certified the brand's Infiniti M35h as the fastest production hybrid in the world, according to Autoblog.

The race is between only two vehicles, as both the Infiniti M35h and Porsche Panamera Hybrid are really only the performance cars that use a hybrid powertrain. Guinness tested both cars on the quarter-mile and found that the M35h completed the race in 13.9031 seconds, earning it the title. The M35h also accelerated to 100 miles per hour faster than the Porsche.

Infiniti is not keeping quiet about the results, putting a new YouTube video up entitled "The Duel" that takes a look at the contest between the two cars. The luxury arm of Nissan also notes that the M35h beats the Porsche in fuel economy, with a 29 combined MPG rating beating the Panamera's 25.

Whether you have a $70,000 hybrid sitting in your garage or have been driving the same car for the past 10 years, auto maintenance is important for getting the most out of a vehicle. Regular tune-ups and oil changes can not only improve fuel economy, but overall power as well.
