The tragic death of actor Paul Walker brought the spotlight to the world of sports cars. As an avid collector of sleek rides and one of the stars of the "Fast & Furious" franchise, Walker was embedded in the auto industry. Now, fans of the actor or the fast-paced films have the chance to own a piece of history - for a price.

According to Yahoo Autos, the Nissan Skyline GT-R driven by Walker in "Fast & Furious 4" is up for sale by its German owner. In the wake of the actor's death, however, the asking price for this vehicle has tripled to nearly $1.4 million. Previously, the Skyline GT-R was listed for about $413,000.

The Nissan vehicle would command a hefty price tag at any point in time. It's the only automobile to survive the filming of the movie, with its seven other similar cars all wrecked or otherwise destroyed in the process of completing the fourth installment of the franchise. It was also impounded for several weeks in 2009 due to some strict U.S. laws regulating the import of the Nissan automobiles from Japan. Luckily for fans, the car was rescued and given the proper auto repair, and now the only remaining question is where it will end up next.
