Car fanatics have long enjoyed heading to the movie theater. Whether they're checking out the latest sports car in the "James Bond" franchise or watching a whole range of vehicles dominate the roads as part of the next "Fast & Furious" movie, these auto lovers often have the chance to see some of their favorite toys on the big screen.

A new partnership
Dodge has teamed up with Universal Pictures and Atlantic Records as part of the promotional push for "Furious 7." The automaker will have several vehicles on screen when the movie premieres April 3, and its automobiles can also be seen in several music videos from Atlantic Records.

As part of the partnership, "Furious 7" will feature several exciting models from Dodge, as well as its sister brands. Audience members can expect to see the 2015 Dodge Challenger, a 2015 Dodge Charger and a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Anyone who checks out a music video, which will showcase songs from the film's official soundtrack, can also spot models like the Dodge Challenger HRT Hellcat, the Dodge Viper GTS and more.

"Fast Dodge cars, adrenaline-filled action and heart-pounding music have fueled the 'Fast & Furious' movie franchise," said Olivier Francois of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. "For the first time, Dodge is broadening its long-time partnership with an innovative new Atlantic Records collaboration that truly expands the power and reach of the 'Fast & Furious' franchise and provides a natural extension for showcasing Dodge's most powerful new performance vehicles to movie, music and car enthusiasts everywhere."

Don't try this at home
The 'Fast & Furious' films have amassed almost $1 billion at the box office since the first movie premiered in 2001, according to Box Office Mojo. Producers need those impressive ticket sales to make up for the huge auto-related expenses each movie has. The franchise is known for showing off the hottest cars and then wrecking them in jaw-dropping fashion.

Just because you may fancy yourself an action star on the roads doesn't mean you can ignore car care like the pros. If you want your ride to last, it's imperative you invest in the right vehicle maintenance. Cars need to be serviced regularly to ensure everything from the tires to the engine belts are operating as they should. It doesn't matter if you're drag racing on camera or dropping the kids off at school - any automobile you're driving will need a little attention to drive smoothly.
