David Beckham - the famous British football star and media fascination - is reportedly a fan of state-of-the-art vehicles. Admirers of the football star or those who follow the media sagas of Beckham's famous marriage to Posh Spice, may not be too surprised to discover that the affluent athlete uses his earnings to wheel around in cool cars, like a Porsche Turbo and Jeep Wrangler, which are vehicles that require lots of care and an excellent car tune up

Beckham's eclectic taste in vehicles
Beckham's talent was discovered at a young age, going pro with Manchester United at the age of 17, according to Celebrity Cars Blog. This lead to a meteoric rise that has seen him play in three World Cup tournaments.

He currently calls California home, playing for the Los Angeles Galaxy. Beckham's understanding of the game of football may have lead him to understand the various necessities that go into the process of creating a flourishing vehicle, such as auto alignment and a good pair of tires

Celebrity Cars Blog also noted that Beckham has been spotted driving a Chevy Camaro, a Bentley, a Range Rover and a Cadillac Escalade.  While this suggests Beckham's varying taste in cars, it also shows his comfort with driving both American and English cars. This is undoubtedly due to Beckham's time on both sides of the Atlantic, a footballer turned cosmopolitan car consumer.

Beckham teams up with Jaguar
The football star recently showed his love of sports cars by becoming a brand ambassador for Jaguar, the famed English car company. According to the company's website, Beckham is slated to be the public face of the company in its campaigns to sell its cars in international markets.

"We are absolutely thrilled that David will be an ambassador for Jaguar in China. David Beckham is a Briton whose achievements mean he has global popularity and he is someone who embodies contemporary British style and sophistication", said Bob Grace, Jaguar Land Rover China Managing Director, according to the company's website. "He is a truly modern, British individual with a genuine passion for design, innovation, performance and driving."

Car drivers that enjoy both football and the ferocious power and sleek exterior of the Jaguar sports car may be excited that Beckham has chosen to associate himself with the company. Perhaps this partnership could lead to further innovative ideas from Jaguar in the future - like employing other sports stars to accentuate their brand.
